Screen Dunedin is a network of people with a passion
for film in all its forms, and a stubborn conviction that Dunedin is New Zealand's foundry of creativity.
We exist to help people like ourselves get projects to the screen by drawing on local talent, resources and ingenuity. To that end Screen Dunedin acts as a meeting ground to stimulate development and production of feature films, documentaries, short films and animations in our region. We are writers, actors, producers, editors, camera operators, crew, audio techs, designers... in fact we have most of the bases covered, and so are able to bring a wide range of abilities to such projects as we choose to support. This is not a fundraising organisation. There is no payroll. We exist to make films - not to talk about it, or spend valuable years of our life stuck in development limbo trying to convince others of the merits of our ideas. Through our members we access skills, experience, equipment and advice which are made available in a spirit of mutuality. This website is our lounge - please respect it if you visit. It acts as a meeting place where our members can float projects and swap ideas. If you wish to be involved please register. Only registered members may upload projects and CVs or access the bulletin board. Check the news section for details of any meetings coming up. |
